Two parks in one place

We've found another gem of a park to share with you.

We are loving exploring all of our local playgrounds. We are so lucky to have such lovely parks in the area to keep our little ones entertained.

This time we visited the park in the town of Henley in Arden.

We visited the park a couple of years ago when it was much smaller. We had no idea it had been extended until one of our lovely followers mentioned it. Thank you Elaine for the heads up.

The last time we visited was pre covid and we went for an adventure on the train from Stratford upon Avon. Ours absolutely loved getting the train and walking to the park. We'd definitely recommend it when things are a little more normal.

We were at the park for an hour and a half and were the only ones there the whole time. A few people walked past and were all really friendly.

The park is right next door to the Medical Centre on Prince Harry Road. There's a great car park there that's free to park in. There are quite a few spaces but the estate it is on is all double yellow lines so please don't attempt to park there if the car park is full. You can park on the main road and walk through. Just follow the signs for the Medical Centre.

The park is next to the river that has an area that is perfect for a little paddle - under supervision, of course.

There's also an area where you can spot pond life.

The park is a short walk from the main High Street where there are lots of places to grab a drink or something to eat. Our favourite place is Henley Ice Cream Parlour.

Age Group

There are two parks - one is aimed at younger children that is fenced and gated and the other is aimed at older children.

Equipment

Toddler Park
  • Spring Seesaw
  • Toddler Swing
  • Junior Swing
  • Spinning Pole
  • Wooden Climbing Frame with wobbly bridge and slide.
Larger Park
  • Big wooden climbing frame with climbing nets, slides, fireman's pole, bridges, castle turrets, and tunnel.

There are picnic tables and a large field for picnics.

Things to Watch Out For

  • The larger park is next to the river so keep an eye on little ones.

Toilets

There are no toilets.

Picnic Area

There are a couple of picnic benches next to the larger park. The park is in a field so you could take a picnic blanket.

Parking

There is a car park on Prince Harry Road that is free to park in. There are quite a few spaces but the estate it is on is all double yellow lines so please don't attempt to park there if the car park is full. You can park on the main road and walk through. We had a brilliant time and had great fun playing knights and dragons.

Please be considerate when you're out for the day. If the bin is overflowing then take your rubbish home with you.
