This week we took a trip to beautiful Hidcote NT. We went on their first day of being back open, on Monday. They were well organised as have all other National Trust places that we’ve visited been.

The walk around has a one way system but there are alternative routes that are suitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs.

It was pretty quiet when we were there but we didn’t feel rushed to walk around.

The gardens are truly beautiful and in full bloom. We found a lovely spot under a big tree overlooking the fields to sit and have a picnic. There’s also a big open space that would be perfect for a picnic although there wasn’t a great deal of shade. Our three loved it as it was like a secret garden for them to explore.

The cafe isn’t open, I’m not sure if there are plans to open it but the toilets are open and are well maintained. They were being cleaned and sanitised when we went in.

National Trust bookings go live every week in the early hours of Friday morning. Weekend tickets go super quickly but weekdays are a little easier to get your hands on.
