The stunning ‘Walking with The Snowman’ sculpture trail is in Birmingham until 6th January, 2022.

This new and enchanting family-friendly walkable trail features 12 incredible sculptures in a tribute to Raymond Briggs’ magical classic, The Snowman.

Each Snowman has been individually decorated by a professional artist, inspired by the theme of the 12 Days of Christmas.

Pick up your Christmas in Birmingham map and follow the enchanting trail of the colourful sculptures across Birmingham city centre at locations such as Bullring & Grand Central, the Mailbox, Centenary Square, Victoria Square and House of Fraser where The Snowman will be in his very own fifth-floor Snow Village.

In association with Percy the Park Keeper, National Trust have created activity trails that'll bring the whole family closer to nature this winter.

Percy loves spending time outside with his animal friends, but winter is a very busy time and he needs your help to look after nature and wildlife.

Percy's left a special note, just for you, at the beginning of the trail asking you, along with his animal friends, to find his equipment so he can complete his winter tasks. At the end of the trail, your hard work will be rewarded with a prize, and you'll be able to take a selfie with Percy and his friends.

Are you ready to step into Percy's wellies and become his helper for the day?

Percy the Park Keeper's winter wander trails are happening at many National Trust places throughout December 2021 and January 2022.

Day admission or a valid membership is required. Trails are £2 each in addition to your day admission.

Naughty Elf Trail - Draycote Water

The naughty elves are back!

Some Naughty Elves have stolen one of Santa’s reindeer and are hiding at Draycote Water.

Find the elves and help save Christmas by working out which reindeer Santa is missing by making a note of the letters they are holding.

We know there are some elves hiding at the kiosk by the play area, go along the road to the top of the hill, find the elves and make a note of the letter they have below. Unscramble the letters to spell out the name of one of Santa’s reindeer. Once you know which reindeer head back to the café to claim your prize.

Activity sheets are available to buy from the Visitor Hub for £4, each completed sheet will get a selection box as a prize (non-dairy selection boxes are available).

Bodenham Arboretum Nativity Trail

A delightful outdoor family event

Follow the stars that take you on a walk around the Arboretum's Big Pool and take part in the walk along Christmas quiz.

The trail will take you to the farmyard where you can see the live nativity scenes starring the farm animals, including the new baby donkey, Andrew.

There is hot turkey baguettes, mulled wine, mince pies plus a whole host of other festive drinks and snacks available to purchase from the cafe.

The event is free and runs everyday until Wednesday 22nd December, 10am to 3.30pm.

Aardman’s new festive musical tale about a young robin trying to fit in, debuted on Netflix on 24th November. The story follows a robin who every year joins her family on a big sneak to find food to survive the winter.

Join in on the great RSPB sneak and celebrate your inner robin! Complete the trail and you will learn to sing like a robin, find your own superpower and use all your senses to connect with the robin within.  

The exclusive activity packs will help you complete all the fun challenges along the trail as well as give robin-related activities to do at home, a certificate (for when you become a brilliant robin) and much more!  

The trail is also available as an audio trail. Scan the QR codes as you complete the sneak, to hear Robin herself guide you along the way.

You will also have a chance to build a nest for Robin and her family to live in.  

Trails and activities are aimed at children aged 3 – 11 years old but are fun for all the family.
